Low-rolling resistance tyres
Tyres with low rolling resistance contribute to the reduction in fuel consumption through the decrease in resistance during the tyres’ motion that mainly results from the deformation of wheels, tyres or the road. The potential of CO2 reduction with passenger vehicles that use low-rolling resistance tyres is estimated at approximately 3%. Barum Continental spol. s r.o., a Czech tyre manufacturer, guarantees a reduction in fuel consumption and noise level thanks to a decrease in rolling resistance with current models compared to the previous generation of
tyres. Compared to the previous Eco model range, tyre rolling resistance has been successfully reduced by 20%. This type of tyre is used in GreenLine models by Škoda Auto a.s.
